Content : A little cumulative tale to have fun getting scared.
The storm is rumbling through the forest tonight. Knock, knock! Who’s that at Cat’s door? It is Mouse, looking for company — especially since there’s talk of a bear living nearby. But frrrfrrrfrrr, a terrifying sound wakes them up. Quick, they rush over to Dog’s house. But it happens again! The three animals dash off to Boar’s place......when a glug-glug sound sends them fleeing once more. Now the four friends are about to knock on Bear’s door! A flash of lightning shows them just in time.
As they pass each animal’s home again, we discover where all the strange noises came from: frrrfrrrfrrr — just a branch, clack-clack — a window shutter, glug-glug — the gutter dripping. Now they are all safe and sound at Mouse’s house. But who’s knocking at the door? It is Bear... Yes, even he is afraid of the storm — and needs some friends tonight.
This fun wild chase is full of little chills and has an unexpected twist. The lively text is full of gurgles and snaps, bringing the story to life. Charming animals and vibrant illustrations playfully interact with the onomatopoeia in the text.
