Content : A series blending friendship, everyday life, and Korean culture.
The Korea Club is gearing up for Pepero Day, a Korean tradition celebrating love and friendship (and, of course, the chance to enjoy some chocolate biscuits — yum!).Mia is feeling frazzled as the big event approaches: there’s so much to organise! But her heart is in turmoil too… Should she lean towards Rennes or Paris? Korea or Brittany? Lucas or Arthur? Life is full of tough choices…
Following the release of the first volume in this series in May 2025, we reunite with Mia and her friends in a second instalment that can be enjoyed independently.
Korean culture takes centre stage in this realistic, illustrated series for 10–13-year-olds.
This volume revolves around Pepero Day, a Korean version of Valentine’s Day celebrated on 11 November — the perfect chance for Mia to get closer to a classmate who doesn’t leave her indifferent…
A humorous, dynamic, and endlessly creative heroine, brought to life by a celebrated author and expert in Japanese and Korean cultures.
Plenty of full-colour illustrations in a modern style, with a dynamic layout full of movement, messages, emojis, diary pages, and more.
Each chapter ends with a small cultural note on Korea, including a vocabulary word, presented in a lighthearted and funny tone.
About the author:
After fifteen years working in marketing in Paris, Véronique Delamarre left the professional world behind and, with her husband and three children, moved to Asia to live and travel. It was during this period that she decided to start writing children’s literature, seeing it as a way to fulfil her childhood dreams and as a space of absolute creative freedom.
Today, she lives in Paris again and divides her time between writing, leading workshops for children and teenagers, and volunteering with various NGOs.
