The Secret of the Lady in Red

Content : In the final years of the 19th century… the search for identity of a young woman struggling with her time.

At the close of the 19th century, Paris is preparing for the Universal Exposition and the inauguration of the Eiffel Tower. Violette Baudoyer seeks refuge in the capital after fleeing her family. She is taken in by Madame Bouteloup and trained in the art of fortune-telling within high society.

Florimond Valence, meanwhile, is a journalist for Les Nouvelles du Matin and an informant for Commissioner Aristide Barjoux. When the body of a woman is discovered in the Belleville district, Florimond must solve the case. It is then that he crosses paths with Violette… What connection does she have to the murder? Is she in danger? Can Florimond help her?
