Camille, a seven-year-old girl, is entrusted to the Duciel couple by a judge.
Seven years later… Now a gifted teenager, Camille loves exploring the art of drawing and escapes into her imagination to create fantastical creatures. Her friend Salim Condo finds it all very amusing.

One day, in a park, a Whisperer appears to Camille and then flees. She follows it into the city, nearly gets hit by a truck, and literally plunges into another world—the forest of Baraïl, in Gwendalavir. There, an armoured knight, Bjorn Wil’Wayard, tries to protect her from a Ts’lich. When the monster approaches her, it seems to recognise her. Terrified, she closes her eyes and… finds herself back in the street traffic she had left just moments earlier!

Will the monster follow her there?
