With my Stick

Content : At dawn, Christophe goes hiking with his grandmother. She gives him a stick that she chooses around. This stick becomes the companion of their walk, the witness of their adventure and their complicity.

During walks, all the children pick up sticks and become particularly attached to them. Based on this observation, the authors deliver several images of a simple piece of wood.

In addition to its concrete aspects: keeping a dog away, being a support, etc. It creates a link between generations, it is a tutor, a guide, a personal totem.
The illustrations, by Marie Détrée Hourrière, made with markers are treated with lines, in stick, in order to serve the text of Orianne Aymard, pilgrim and mountaineer.
