Marguerite, 92, is wasting away in her Parisian retirement home. One day, an intergenerational meeting with schoolchildren is organised. Marguerite grows close to Ilyès and Églantine: between the rebellious, sarcastic old lady and the two children battered by life, there is an instant connection! So much so that they propose to help Marguerite fulfil her greatest wish: to return to her real home. But nothing goes as planned, and the unlikely trio accidentally ends up… in Brittany!
