The Palace

Content : No one enters or leaves the Palace without making a wish. But you'd better make the right one.

Danae wants only one thing: for the ghosts to leave her alone! Haunted by the dead for as long as she can remember, the young waitress accepts a pact offered by the Palace’s enigmatic Director.
If she succeeds in passing three trials, he will grant her wish and let her return to her life, finally free from her curse. But if she fails… he’ll twist her wish into something far more sinister.
Trapped inside this infernal hotel, Danae chooses to challenge the Director — hoping she can outwit him and escape his grasp.

The story takes place in an infernal mansion with a richly immersive atmosphere, where imagination and irony soften the edges of violence.

Océane Sukali is a highly talented young Swiss author, first noticed during the Imaginaire Rageot x Babelio competition. She has a captivating writing style that stays close to the heroine, delving deep into her fears and her longing for freedom.

Océane Sukali was born in Geneva in 1988 and has been escaping into the world of fantasy since her teenage years. After studying Literature, she now works in project management, but has always dreamt of giving free rein to her creativity. She took the leap by entering the 2023 Rageot x Babelio Imaginary Fiction Writing Contest. Le Palace is her debut novel.
